Luckily my parents live in one of the most gorgeous counties in Northern California, so I decided to take advantage of "magic hour" for once. I also convinced Kate to come along with me to have a little photography fun (don't know what I am going to do tomorrow when I go home and don't have my trusty sidekick to accompany me!).

Today Kate and I ventured into my favorite city...San Francisco. We went for an evening of wine, food and cake pairing...if you want to speak to my heart you will wrap those three things up in a nice little package. You could say I was pretty excited...until we showed up for the event and we were five, may I repeat, five people away from getting in.

Since we did not get in, we decided to go to dinner at my favorite little Italian spot in the city.

Today as I headed out the door I knew exactly where I would be taking my picture of the day. Every week as I drive to my parents I pass this hill side that has a yellow flower growing on it and I always tell myself I need to stop. So today I decided today would be the day. When I turned onto the old country road I noticed that there was only a little strip of the flowers left. I guess that teaches me a lesson that when I see something I really just need to make time and stop right then and there!

Since it was not as neat as I remembered I roamed around and took a few other shots.

As I was driving to church this morning, I started thinking about where I would go to take my daily picture and once again...hello Day 2! As I was just a few feet away from the church driveway, I saw these amazing flowers and since I was running late, I decided to stop by after service. So for now on, I will not worry where I will capture my next picture. If I just slow down and open my eyes something will come up.

Say hello to my new friend Mr. Spider. I don't think he was very happy with me accidentally messing up his web as I captured a few shots. He was very nice though to let me capture a few of him.

This is my favorite of the day !

As you can tell, it's only day two and I have already posted more than one picture a day...so really I think it will be "Pictures, not Picture; of the Day"

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Few little randoms...

Was going through some emails today and stumbled upon a few pictures I emailed myself...I have to be at work in 45 minutes but I am trying to avoid getting ready; so I thought I would put up a couple that I liked.

When I woke up this morning I started thinking about where I would go to start off this adventure, I decided I would think about it as I drove around running errands. Well not even two minutes after I left my house I drove by this trailer parked on the side of the road that had some old helicopters strapped to it. And I thought...hello day one!
Here are a couple that I liked.

As you can see already that some days might have more than one picture, some times I just can't pick a favorite :)

365 Days of Photography fun

Lately it seems as if everyone is thinking of me when they see cool things related to photography. The other day, Kate found this awesome blog and sent it my way. This photographer is just starting out in her venture with photography, just like me and decided to do a picture a day for a year. I had this thought awhile back but never actually went through with it. Since today is August 1st, I decided what better day to start then the first of the month.

So...here we go, a years worth of adventure with my trusty Nikon D80. Feel free to give me suggestions of possible subjects or daily challenges to see how creative I can get!
